GV-QTango Fest 2019

Celebrate the End of Summer with Tango to Live music at the All Live Music Tango Festival!  The Albuquerque and Green Valley Qtango Fests are the world’s ONLY all live music festivals for dancers. There is a free non-dancing event Orchestra Concert open to the public on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.  West Center Auditorium 1111 S. Canoa Cup Classic Car Show
Saturday, September 21st, 9:00am - 2:00pm at Historic Canoa Ranch
This community fundraiser with Classic Cars from all Classes! $5 General Admission- Vote for your favorite Classic Car and enjoy food, drinks and music! $25 registration fee/classic car. Historic Canoa Ranch is a beautiful setting for these Classic Cars! All donations and proceeds go towards the restoration of the Tradesman House at Canoa for a new Visitor Center. Historic buildings will be opened and docents will be on hand to explain the history and stories of the people of Canoa.

11th Annual Sahuarita Pecan Festival
Saturday, November 9th, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM at Green Valley Pecan Company
Celebrate the pecan harvest with a day of old-fashioned family fun in the shady orchards at Green Valley Pecan Farm. The festival kicks off with the annual 3.3-mile Pecan Classic and 1.6-mile Family Fun Run, leading runners and walkers through the pecan orchard. Antique tractors and the tractor pull contests will be showcased in the special Heritage Area, which includes kid-friendly interactive demonstrations and horse-drawn wagon rides. The Pecan Store will sell holiday gift items and pecans, and there will be a pecan-cracking contest and annual Pecan Pie Contest. Come for food, arts and crafts from local artisans in the Santa Cruz River Valley and surrounding areas, great music, dancing and family-friendly activities.

Admission is free. On-site parking for $5. Free shuttle service-Sahuarita School District and Walden Grove High School.

Reminder for the HOA Board:  need to re-negotiate the Republic Services Waste Contract. Current 5 year contract ends 30 June 2023. Notice of change or cancellation must be given 60 days before 30 June 2023.
